Seeley Lake to Ovando 7/8 26 miles

Today we're heading from Seeley Lake to Ovando.  A 26 mile route that gives Daren a rest day, and Sarah her first ride to get used to the elevation, about 4500ft and heat, about 90.  There wasn't a lot of route finding, so Daren was ok letting the two novice navigators out on their own.
More pics here

We started out on a steady, but not too steep climb up to 4800 ft. We had a beautiful ride up passing Cottonwood Lake and then a not so beautiful pile of fur and bones.  Sarah had to get pictures, and we spent quite a lot of time trying to figure out what it was and how it died.

We came out at Monture Work Center(trail work), and river, then headed down the dusty road to Ovando.  Ovando is a one street town with a mercantile, cafe(great pie), post office, and fishing shop.  The old one room jail is now rented out to campers.  We saw a group of cyclists that were riding the divide from Wyoming to Banff, Canada.  They happened to see our friends Paul and Russ who we rode with from Cedar Creek.
We have met quite a few cyclists doing this ride.  All of them have met Paul and Russ.
Daren and Silas met us in Ovando after doing the laundry and grocery shopping.  We decided to head to Lincoln to set up camp because there were not a lot of places to set up here.  We passed the beautiful Blackfoot River, renowned for it's great fishing.
Lincoln Montana, home to Ted Kaczynski, nice thought.
